The Sleep Fairy

In the quiet of the night,
As the stars twinkle bright,
A fairy comes to visit,
When you close your eyes tight.

She’s the sleep fairy,
With magic in her wings,
And when you’re fast asleep,
She’ll leave you precious things.

A feather from a bird,
A shell from the sea,
A pretty little trinket,
That’s just for you and me.

She’ll leave it on your pillow,
Or tuck it in your hand,
And when you wake up in the morning,
You’ll find it where you stand.

She knows just what you like,
And what will make you smile,
So she leaves a little gift,
To keep you happy for awhile.

So when you feel her presence,
As you drift off to sleep,
Know that the sleep fairy,
Is watching over you, sweet.

She’ll bring you sweet dreams,
And gifts from afar,
For the sleep fairy,
Is your nighttime star.
