Off to the Doctor

Off to the doctor, we go today,
A checkup, a chat, and we’re on our way.
A journey to health, both body and mind,
A caring doctor, so gentle and kind.

In the waiting room, we sit and we wait,
Puzzles and books, make the time feel less late.
With a tap at the door, our name they do call,
It’s time for our visit, no fear, none at all.

On the table, we hop with a jump and a grin,
A deep breath we take, and our visit begins.
A listen, a measure, a tap and a poke,
The doctor is gentle, it’s really no joke.

Our heartbeat, our height, and our weight they do measure,
To ensure our health, and a body to treasure.
They’ll check our ears, our nose, and our throat,
A friendly demeanor, like a warm, cozy coat.

We talk about eating and playing outside,
Getting good sleep, and taking life in stride.
A giggle, a smile, the doctor does share,
Reminding us all that they truly do care.

The visit is over, we’re healthy and strong,
We knew all along, there was nothing wrong.
Off to the doctor, we went without fear,
Knowing they’re here to keep us all in good cheer.
