The Fish and the Worm

In a calm and clear lake, there lived a small fish named Finn. Finn loved to explore the lake and make new friends. He was kind and friendly to all the creatures in the lake, no matter how big or small they were.

One day, while swimming near the surface of the water, Finn saw a delicious-looking worm dangling from a fishing line. He hesitated at first, but his hunger got the best of him and he took a bite of the worm.

Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his mouth and was pulled out of the water. Finn realized too late that he had been caught by a fisherman’s hook. He struggled and fought to free himself, but the hook was too strong.

As he lay there gasping for air, a wise old turtle swam up to him. “Finn,” said the turtle, “you should have been more careful. You let your hunger and curiosity get the best of you, and now you are paying the price.”

Finn hung his head in shame, wishing he had listened to the wise turtle’s advice.

The turtle continued, “Always remember, Finn, that there are dangers in the world, and we must be careful not to be lured by what appears to be easy or tasty. Look before you leap, and think before you act.”

From that day on, Finn became wiser and more cautious, always thinking before he acted. He warned his fellow fish to be careful, especially when there were lures and hooks in the water.

Be careful and cautious when faced with temptation or danger. It is important to think before you act and to be aware of your surroundings. Like Finn, we should always be vigilant and avoid making impulsive decisions that could lead to harmful consequences.
