The little girl that wanted to work on an ambulance
Alyssa was an eight-year-old girl who dreamed of working on an ambulance just like her mother. Her mother was an EMT, and Alyssa admired her bravery and dedication to helping others.
One day, Alyssa’s class went on a field trip to the local fire station. As they toured the station, they met some EMTs and Paramedics who were there with their ambulance. Alyssa was thrilled to meet them and asked them lots of questions about what it was like to work on an ambulance.
The medics were impressed by Alyssa’s enthusiasm and even let her sit in the back of the ambulance. Alyssa was so excited that she couldn’t stop talking about it for weeks.
From that day on, Alyssa became more determined than ever to follow in her mother’s footsteps. She read books about working on an ambulance and watched videos about emergency medical procedures. She even practiced performing first aid on her dolls and stuffed animals.
One day, while playing outside, Alyssa saw her neighbor, Mrs. Johnson, collapse. Alyssa’s heart raced as she ran to Mrs. Johnson’s side and checked her pulse. She remembered what she had learned from the medics at the fire station and called 911.
Alyssa stayed with Mrs. Johnson until the ambulance arrived. She watched the paramedics work quickly and efficiently to help her neighbor. Alyssa was amazed by their skill and bravery.
After Mrs. Johnson was taken to the hospital, Alyssa’s mom hugged her and said, “You did a great job, Alyssa. You have a natural talent for helping others. I am so proud of you.”
Alyssa beamed with pride, knowing that she had made a difference in someone’s life. She continued to learn and grow, and when she was old enough, she followed her dream of working on an ambulance just like her mother. Alyssa was a hero, just like the brave men and women that work on an ambulance that she admired so much.
