Max the mouse goes to the Doctor

Max the little mouse loved nothing more than running and playing with his friends in the fields. But one day, he woke up feeling unwell. His head ached, his nose was stuffy, and he felt weak and tired.

Max’s mom noticed that he wasn’t his usual energetic self and asked him how he was feeling. “I don’t feel very well, Mom,” Max replied weakly. “My head hurts, and I feel so tired.”

His mom took one look at him and knew that he needed to see the doctor. She gently scooped him up and brought him to the doctor’s office.

The doctor examined Max and said, “You have a cold, Max. You need to take some medicine to help you feel better.” Max was scared of taking medicine because he didn’t like the way it tasted, but he knew he needed to take it to feel better.

The doctor gave Max a tiny spoonful of medicine, and Max made a face at the taste. “I don’t like the way it tastes, Mom,” Max complained. “I don’t want to take it.”

His mom understood how he felt and said, “I know it doesn’t taste good, Max, but you need to take it to get better. You can have a treat after you take your medicine if you want.”

Max nodded and swallowed the medicine, making another face at the taste. But he was determined to feel better, so he took it every day, just like the doctor said.

Slowly but surely, Max began to feel better. His head stopped hurting, his nose cleared up, and he had more energy. He was able to run and play with his friends again, and he felt happy and healthy.

Max learned that sometimes taking medicine was necessary, even if it didn’t taste very good. And he was grateful to have a mom who loved him and a doctor who knew how to make him feel better.
