A raccoon picnic feast

Once upon a time, in a beautiful forest, there lived a family of raccoons. The family consisted of Papa Raccoon, Mama Raccoon, and their three little raccoon cubs – Rocky, Rosie, and Rusty.

One beautiful evening, as the sun was setting, the family of raccoons was out for a walk in the forest. As they were walking, they stumbled upon a picnic basket left unattended by a group of humans. The basket was filled with delicious treats – sandwiches, fruit, and even a big chocolate cake!

Papa Raccoon and Mama Raccoon were hesitant to take anything from the basket because they knew it belonged to someone else. But the little raccoon cubs couldn’t resist the temptation and begged their parents to let them have just a little bite.

Reluctantly, Papa and Mama Raccoon agreed, and the family of raccoons started to feast on the delicious treats in the basket. They ate and ate until their tummies were full and they could hardly move.

Just as they were about to leave, they heard the sound of footsteps approaching. It was the group of humans who had left the picnic basket unattended. The family of raccoons quickly hid in the bushes, hoping not to be seen.

But it was too late. The humans had already spotted the empty picnic basket, and they knew that someone had taken their food. The humans searched around, but they couldn’t find anyone.

Feeling guilty, the family of raccoons decided to come out of hiding and apologize to the humans. They explained that they were just so tempted by the delicious food and promised that they would never take anything that didn’t belong to them again.

The humans were surprised but delighted to see the family of raccoons, and they forgave them for taking their food. In fact, they even shared some more treats with the raccoons as a gesture of kindness.

From that day on, the family of raccoons learned an important lesson – that it’s always better to ask before taking something that doesn’t belong to you. And they lived happily ever after, enjoying the delicious treats that the humans sometimes left out for them, with permission of course.
