Twelve Little Sheep
When it’s time to go to bed,
And you snuggle up and rest your head,
But you just can’t seem to drift away,
Try counting sheep, they always say.
One little sheep, two little sheep,
Jumping over fences so neat,
Three little sheep, four little sheep,
Soft woolly coats they like to keep.
Five little sheep, six little sheep,
Sailing on a fluffy cloud heap,
Seven little sheep, eight little sheep,
Jumping higher with each leap.
Nine little sheep, ten little sheep,
Drifting off to slumber deep,
Eleven little sheep, twelve little sheep,
Peaceful dreams, their eyes do keep.
And as you count and drift away,
The sheep will guide you to the land of play,
So close your eyes and let them lead,
And soon, sweet dreams you will concede.
